Inter Milan looking to upgrade their midfield in January

Inter Milan currently sit first in the Serie A table after a 3-1 win over Bologna saw them move back up in the table. With such a tough title fight coming up Inter will be looking for ever possible way to improve their team. One of these ways is to make new signings now during the January transfer window.

However, Inter have been in a bad place finically since COVID-19 leaving them in trouble with finical fair play rules. This has lead to most of their signings being free agents. This is how they bought in one of their best attackers, Marcus Thuram a few seasons ago.

Inter could make a sale in their midfield as they look to boost it for the second half of their campaign. This come from reports from Matteo Moretto via X that state that Davide Frattesi could be sold. Currently the only team interested in signing Frattesi is Turkish side Galatasaray.

So far the two sides talks have gone well with the deal having a simple formula in mind. The deal will be a loan to buy with the option set at 35 million euros if the deal is to go through. Frattesi is also open to the move as he is looking to get out of Milan for ore game time. Galatasaray have also given him a generous offer of 5 million euros per season.

This will leave Inter available to sign a replacement for Frattesi to boost the squad. This come from a report from Alfio Musmarra via Inter Xtra, which state they could have found one from inside Serie A. This would be Matteo Guendouzi from Lazio as the side goes through a small rebuild in January including the sale of Taty Castellanos.
