Juventus moving towards signing a striker with a swap deal on the cards

Juventus could have put themselves on a good position to mount a title chase in the second half of the season with a win over Lecce on Saturday. He looked to regain confidence, by scoring instead his form was terrible, being saved down the middle. This has lead to more talks of Davids signing in the summer being a poor one. Juventus will now have to try and sign a new striker especially with their number one Dusan Vlahovic still being sidelined due to injury.

This has lead to the idea of Juventus getting rid of David as early as January due to his poor form. Gazzetta Dello Sport has released a report that supports this claim, which would see David in a swap deal. This would see David move to Atletico Madrid, and Juventus bring Alexander Sorloth in return.

A move to Madrid could benefit David, as it would be more fitting to his playstyle, at the same time Sorloth could benefit from a move to Turin. Sorloth has had a strong campaign so far with five league goals, but his playstyle of scoring from set pieces and one touch goals would suit Serie A better than La Liga.

However, it is not as simple to say the only option that Juventus have is Sorloth. TuttoSport that they could look closer to home and sign a striker from Serie A. Lorenzo Lucca has also been offered to Juventus in January, who is no longer needed in Naples this season.

There could also be another striker for Juventus from Serie A, as AS Roma look to get rid of Artem Dovybk. The Ukrainian had an okay first season, but the appointment of Gian Piero Gasperini has left him unneeded in the capital. Juventus could get Dovybk on a cheap deal in January.
