Roma had a poor start to their transfer window, as they went on the search for new attackers. Signing a new winger was one of Roma’s key priorities at the request of Gian Piero Gasperini. But, Roma struggled as every deal saw either the wanted player or club ask for too much finically.

But, things have begun to turn around for Roma as they have managed to sign Santiago Castro from Roma. Castro will come into Roma to play as a striker alongside Donyell Malen for next season. However, it dosen’t stop Roma’s need to sign a winger this mercato.

Antonio Nusa is the next name that Roma have been linked with on their search for a winger. Things are continuing to turn around for Roma, as Nusa is pushing for Leipzig to allow him to leave to let him join Roma this summer. This comes from a report from Corriere Dello Sport.

But, the deal still has one more key problem stopping it from happening. RB Leipzig are demanding 55 million euros to sell Nusa to any team who wants to sign him. Meanwhile, Roma are only willing to make an offer of 45 million euros to sign Nusa, which could hold up a deal.

Roma are also not willing to go beyond this 45 million euros which could stop a move. They might now need to being looking into alternatives to Nusa as a deal might not be possible. Ibrahim Mbaye and Jean-Matteo Bahoya are the alternatives that Roma are considering to Nusa.
