AC Milan looking for new centre backs, with a swap deal denied

AC Milan currently sit second in the Serie A table, as the look to mount a Scudetto worth campaign. This has mainly been down to their elite defence by new coach, Massimiliano Allegri. However, this defence isn’t good enough for him, as Milan are still looking to recruit in the defence.

Milan have had multiple players circling them recently as they look to upgrade the position for the second half of the season. These all come from a TuttoSport report today, as multiple names have been named for them to possibly sign. Firstly Milan could’ve bought two players back to Serie A.

Kim Min-Jae and Milan Skriniar both used to play in Serie A, with Napoli and Inter Milan respectively. Milan tried to bring both of these two back to Serie A, however both these deals have fallen through due to Milan not being able to find a reasonable deal between the two parties.

Another move has fallen apart for Milan which is Axel Disasi from Chelsea. There was talks over a possible loan move to bring the Frenchmen from England, however this deal also fell through. This leaves Milan choosing between two other experienced options Eric Dier from AS Monaco and Federico Gatti from Juventus.

Milan haven’t opened talks with Monaco over a move for Dier yet so there is nothing to report. However, they have made multiple offers to Juventus for Gatti. Milan want Gatti because he is loved by Allegri from their time together at Juventus. Allegri coached Gatti for 63 competitive game in their two seasons together at Juventus.

Milan have made two offers already to Juventus over the signing of Juventus both of which have been rejected. Firstly, they offered Juventus midfielders Samuele Ricci, which they rejected. Then they made a second offer to Juventus offering former Juventus centre back Koni De Winter, which Juventus rejected again.
