Genoa look to Azzuri legend to take over head coach role
Genoa became the second team this season to dismiss their coach after Patrick Vieira was let go. This was after Juventus fired interim and former player Igor Tudor a few days before. Fiorentina also fired head coach Stefano Pioli a few days later. Juventus wrapped up the new signing fast, Genoa and Fiorentina are still waiting.
Juventus managed to hire Luciano Spalletti days after the firing of Tudor. This leaves only Genoa and Fiorentina fighting over managers and who they will hire. Juventus is out of this race and Spalletti would likely have taken either of these two jobs at this stage of his career.
So who was left for Genoa or Fiorentina to hire? Well there was four main names surrounding both clubs according to reports. Paolo Vanoli, Thiago Motta, Daniele De Rossi and Alessandro Nesta. These where the main four who all had previous coaching expirence in Seria A.
Now however, Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Genoa have found their head coach for the future. They have chosen Daniele De Rossi, and will have him coach his first game against Fiorentina on Sunday. Genoa are hopeful that De Rossi getting his feet on the ground against a side in turmoil like Fiorentina will help his stint at Genoa.
Genoa and De Rossi now just need to figure out the financial side of the deal before the move can be complete. This now will leave with only Vanoli, Motta or Nesta to choose from. Nothing is offical but reports say that Motta decided to turn down the Fiorentina job before the start of the season.
This is due to the fact that he is still being paid from Juventus after his dismissal. If Motta is still unwilling to move then it will leave only Nesta or Vanoli for Fiorentina to choose from. However, Motta could still decide to take up a job, we will only know once further news is released.

Massimiliano Allegri takes agrees to Napoli job as Serie A coaching shapes up
News broke yesterday from Fabrizio Romano that Massimiliano Allegri will be taking the Napoli head coaching job. Fabrazio gave it his “Here We Go” seal of approval online to show that the deal is set to take place. Allegri managed to beat out Vincenzo Italiano in a two horse race. He managed to agree terms with Napoli before Italiano.
Italiano was the favourite for the job, but had troubles agreeing out of his contract with Bologna. However, the club have officially announced his departure as they look to find a new manager for next season. Italiano spent two seasons with the Rossoblu, but decided that it was finally time for a change. Bologna have now begun the search for replacements.

Gazzetta Dello Sport is reporting that Bologna have identified three possible coaching names for next season. Stefano Pioli is on their list who is out of a job after leaving Fiorentina early last season. Eusebio Di Francesco could be available if he decided to leave Lecce, with meetings set for the coming days according to Nico Schira.
There is also Raffaele Palladino who is leaving Atalanta. Palladino overtook Atalanta during the middle of last season replacing Ivan Juric. However, Palladino was only given this season and will now make way for Sarri. Sarri joining Atalanta has left the Lazio job open, which will be filled by Gennaro Gattuso for next season.
Gattuso is coming off an unsuccessful stint coaching the Azzurri, a job that is still vacant. Allegri was also in the race for that job but has decided to make a move to Naples instead. This now leaves Roberto Mancini in pole position to reclaim the job after leaving in 2023 to coach Saudi Arabia. Nico Schira is reporting that Mancini has agreed a deal with Giovanni Malago, the favourite for FIGC presidency, until 2030 worth 2 million euros per season.

Maurizio Sarri closing in on a deal to join Atalanta as Serie A coaching carousel set to be in full swing
Antonio Conte has decided that his future is no longer in Naples, after meeting with Aurelio De Laurentiis. This has lead to Napoli trying to poach a new head coach, so they can start there offseason. Maurizio Sarri was set to be the leading option as he had steered the ship well for Lazio this campaign.
This would be a return to Naples for Sarri, after almost ten years away. Sarri took control over Napoli in June of 2015, and stayed to the end of the 2017/18 season. A return to the Maradona would be an interesting offer for Sarri but likely won’t happen. This comes as he is set to join Atalanta according to Nico Schira
The deal is at its final stage according to Schira, as the two have agreed a contract. Sarri is set to join the La Dea on a deal until 2029, which will be worth 3.5 million euros per season. This will leave Napoli looking for a new option, which Schira is reporting could be Vincenzo Italiano.

Napoli are trying to convince Italiano has they have given him 2028. The deal will also come with an option for 2029, if the club decides to exercise it. Juventus set to keep Jeremie Boga past his six month loan
The first half of Juventus’s campaign was outlined with a struggle for scoring goals. This was despite signings of both Jonathan David and Lois Openda being bought last summer to fix the problem. The struggles have now lead, Juventus to open talks for a contract renewal with Dusan Vlahovic.
Vlahovic staying in Turin, seemed almost impossible last summer, due to Vlahovic’s wage demands. However, the struggle to replace him has made Juventus see his value. They are now even willing to meet Vlahovic in the middle paying more than they would like, and less than he wants.

However, he is not the only player Juventus is ready to keep past this summer. Jeremie Boga, was brought in during the January, transfer window in the hopes to boost Juventus struggling attack. He has done so emphatically hitting the ground running in Turin scoring three goals in his first seven Serie A matches.
This has lead Juventus aiming to keep Boga past the six month loan period, according to a report from Nico Schira. Part of the deal is already completed for Juventus as the initial loan came with a buy clause between the two clubs. This will see Juventus pay only 4.8 million euros for Boga this summer.
A low fee like this will be a steal for a player that has been as good as Boga for Juventus. This is still true considering his age as Boga is a more experienced player at 29, but also not too old where it is a liability. Boga contract with Juventus will likely reflect this as Juventus has agreed a deal until 2029 with Boga.
