Roma are continuing their transfer window as they look to build on their Champions League qualification from last season. Rodrigo Mora could be the next name Roma go after this summer. Roma aren’t in the necessary need for a midfielder for next season.

Manu Kone was linked to leave the club, with Manchester United interested. However, Kone only wanted to sign for PSG to return to France. Kone now looks destined to remain at Roma for next season, as a deal won’t be possible. But, Rodrigo Mora is still a target for Roma.

Gianluca Di Marzio is now reporting that Roma have opened contacts with Porto to try and sign Mora. Porto however, are still using Mora during their season, but are open to selling him. But they are still reluctant for a loan with a buy obligation deal which would suit Roma.

However, Porto are asking for a package worth 50 million euros to sell Mora this summer. Roma have offered a deal with a 5 million loan fee and a 45 million buy option, not an obligation. However, Porto have decided to knock this back as they aren’t interested in the current deal.

But, Roma are preparing an alternative deal, as they won’t give up on signing Mora. Roma could only spend 25 million euros to sign Mora, but would include a 50% sell-on clause for a future deal. Porto have not responded yet to the bid, but could decide to take it to earn 50 million euros even if it comes down the road.
