Juventus have been on the hunt for a goalkeeper for most of the summer. It became clear that Michele Di Gregorio and Mattia Perin were not good enough to start for Juventus. The two combined for underwhelming performances, at the end of last season which likely cost Juventus, Champions League football.

Luciano Spalletti was pushing for Juventus to sign someone with more experience as a new number one. This led to the Bianconeri pushing to sign Alisson Becker as has worked with Spalletti before. Juventus did manage to agree on personal terms with Becker, but Liverpool blocked a move.

Liverpool decided to keep Becker for next season, as a starer before handing off to Giorgi Mamardashvili next season. Emilaino Martinez was the next option for Juventus. But, that deal suffered a similar state as Alisson, as Aston Villa want to keep Martinez. This is despite him agreeing on personal terms with Juventus.

Juventus are now looking at new options, for a goalkeeper and could decide to go younger. Corriere Dello Sport is reporting that, Zion Suzuki could become a possible option for Suzuki. Juventus officials were caught speaking to Parma officials after the Lega Serie A meeting last week.

These talks could have just been over Mateo Pellegrino, but various reports are stating they were on Suzuki. Suzuki would be a serious finical invest for Juventus if they do decide to pursue him. Parma are asking for more than 30 million euros to sell Suzuki if they do let him leave.

But, Juventus are now facing weaker competition that Aston Villa won’t sell Martinez. Villa wanted to sign Suzuki as a replacement for Martinez, meanwhile Leeds United have decided to sign James Trafford over Suzuki. The lack of competition could make a deal easier for Juventus, especially if they make it a swap deal.

Juventus could offer Parma Fabio Miretti, to try and complete a deal this summer. But, there is still the PSG factor in the deal, as they have shown interest in Suzuki in the past. If, PSG decide to pursue a move for Suzuki they could offer him more in salary, and Parma more making a deal difficult for the Bianconeri.
