Inter where one of Europe’s strongest teams, last season looking to compete or win in all of their major competitions. This was backed up by former head coach Simone Inzaghi now infamous press conference claiming Milan could win all three. However, this would back fire seeing Inter go trophyless last season.

Losing to city rivals AC Milan in the semi finals of the Coppa Italia, finishing second to Napoli in the league and losing five-nil in the Champions League final saw Inter leave trophyless. This led to Inzaghi deciding to step down and take a new job in Saudi Arabia coaching Al Hilal.

Inter then decided to hire former Inter midfielder Cristian Chivu to take over. Chivu had some previous managerial experience at Parma but not enough to warrant a job like Inters which was the opinion of most experts at the time, but this has proven to be untrue so far as he has Inter competitive in the league and the Champions League.

Chiuv didn’t want to completely change Inter’s system as he had seen the success it had with Inzaghi instead deciding to build on it. But some key changes where made, and new players where signed to tweak the system. This also mean’t that some players lost game time, one of these being Davide Frattesi.

Frattesi was already looking for ways out of Inter while when Inzaghi was coaching as his game time, but now under Chivu he is struggling more. This has lead to reports from Nico Schira asking Inter for a way out of the club in January. This is understandable considering there was already rumours of his departures in the summer.

Schira is also reporting that Frattesi has began to talk with different teams over a possibility of a signing. One of these teams is one of Inter’s closest rivals Juventus. Frattesi is liked by current Juventus coach Luciano Spalletti having worked together in the past for the Italian National team.

CalcioMercatoIT is reporting that Juventus have found the name they could sign to replace Di Gregorio. This is Alex Meret who could be set leave Napoli this summer. Meret current contract expires at the end of next season, and he has no intention of staying in Naples. Vanja Milinkovic-Savic has been Napoli’s consistent number one.

This has left him to look elsewhere for his future, and Juventus could be a real option for the Italian. The deal is also beneficial for the Bianconeri as Juventus will likely have to undergo multiple signings this summer. Juventus will be looking for cheap options to bring in like Mere to save money where they can.
