AC Milan preparing replacments incase Mike Maignan leaves.

AC Milan are looking to win the Scudetto this season for the first time since 2021 this year. Their campaign is built around a strong defensive unit, led by new head coach Massimiliano Allegri. This has also been successful for Maignan as he has earned five clean sheets in thirteen games.

However, even with this good run of form and Maignan strength, his future still isn’t certain. His contract expires at the end of this season for Milan. Talks have begun slowly for Maignan, and AC Milan and now aren’t completely confident if they can get the deal done.

This is according to Gianluca Di Marzio via his website. His news states that Milan are already planning his replacements, if he is too leave after this season. Currently AC Milan have one name in mind which is Brazilian goalkeeper Hugo, who plays for Corinthians.

Hugo could be available to AC Milan for around twelve million euros if they are to buy him. But as of right now Milan first priority is to extend Maignan. However, there could be a different goalkeeper that Milan could sign if Maignan does leave according to Sacha Tavolieri.

Tavolieri claims that Milan have already decided to move on from Maignan, and choose a new goalkeeper. This is a different Brazilian being 33-year-old Allison Becker. Milan have already made contacts with Allison as of right now and he could be cheap from Liverpool.

This is because his contract expires at the end of the next season, so Liverpool could look to move on from him. Liverpool also spent big money on Georgian goalkeeper, Giorgi Mamardasvili last year, but he only joined this year. Getting rid of Allison would guarantee him more game time.
