Santiago Giminez reveals truth about poor form this campaign.
So far this season AC Milan has been a well oiled unit as the side looks to challenge for the scudetto. There new coach Max Allegri has given a much needed identity this season. There title chances are boosted by the fact that they aren’t competing in European competitions this year due to last years poor season.
AC Milan still have two main problems in the team, injuries and strikers. Currently, Milan have Adrien Rabiot and Christian Pulisic on the injury list. Pervis Estupinan, Ardon Jashari and Rafael Leao have all spent time on the injury list this season despite being only 10 match days in. Milan have also had issue looking for a striker over the last two seasons.
These issues started when Zlatan Ibrahimovic retired at the end of the 2022/23 season. This left only Oliver Giroud as a striker for Milan who was exceptional in form, but age was wearing him down. This lead to Giroud being sold to LA Galaxy at the end of the 2023/24 season. Ever since Milan has struggled to find a star striker.
The latest striker that was meant to solve Milan problem was Santiago Giminez. He was signed from Feyenoord in the winter transfer window last season. He scored 16 goals in only 19 games before making his move to Milan, ever since his form has slumped. For, Milan this season he has failed to register a single league goal or assist.
However, the Gazzetta Dello Sport has reported that he has shared the reason for his poor form via his instagram story. Giminez said “For several months I’ve been playing with an ankle injury that hasn’t allowed me to be 100% fit or comfortable on the pitch. With a great desire to continue helping the team, I continued playing, but the pain worsened, and the time came to stop. Now I have to recover and prepare to return as soon as possible”
In recent games he was forced off the pitch in the 62nd minute against Atlanta with the ankle injury and then had to miss, Milan’s next league game against AS Roma. If this injury is worse than initially thought, he will miss this weekends game against Parma as well, and some of the international break.
But does it explain his poor form? Maybe, playing through injuries is always hard on players for sure. But if it was serious to the point where Giminez would be playing detremetnailly to Milan, they wouldve benched him to recover, so it is a two sided coin, we will only know the truth on Giminez when he returns.

Serie A closing deal to play first ever league game abroad
The Winter Olympics is coming up in Italy next year, and with the Italian government is putting many stadiums to use. Many were either renovated or built solely for the event, but some are still in use. One of the current stadiums which could be used is the San Siro the home of Inter and AC Milan.
The winter olympics run at the same time as Serie A season so there will need to be alternative venues for the teams to play. Thankfully for Inter Milan none of these Serie A games, are at the same time as there events so they will get off free, but the same can’t be said for AC Milan.
This has mean’t that they are looking for an alternative venue to play in. Many would assume that it would be somewhere else in Milan, however it won’t be. In Fact they will likely travel the globe and play somewhere out of Italy for one of their league games. Now it is believed that Milan will host Como in Perth, Australia.
Milan have played preseason games in Perth over the last two years, and they have had success within the Australian footballing community, with a lot of AC Milan fans living in the country. This is why Lega Serie A and AC Milan decided to play the game instead of somewhere more economic benefit.

There was some doubts over where the game would be played due to disagreements between Serie A and the Asian Confederation, about the game. This lead the doubt if the game could go ahead in Perth thankfully those thoughts have been put to bed. This is thanks from a comment from the CEO of Serie A saying “The game will be played in Perth on February 8th as scheduled”

Inter preparing for the departure of Denzel Dumfries
Inter has had some profound success in recent history as former head coach Simone Inzaghi, built the side a distinct style of play. Even with Inzaghi leaving the side, this style of the play continued, with some slight tweaks. Cristian Chivu came in and kept the same principles.
Inters recent success has been on strong defence, great build up from the wings and versatile midfielders. The squad strength of Inter have helped this be true, especially on the wings with Denzel Dumfries and Federico Di Marco on either side. While reinforcements such as Carlos Augusto and Luis Henrique, these two have still been the main players.
Now however, Inter might have to prepare for some sort of change as Denzel Dumfries isn’t guaranteed to be at Inter. This is according to FCInternewsIT, he would like a move to Premier League. While this is only a rumour, some true circumstances already support the claim.
Recently Dumfries changed his agent, from Jorge Mendes to Ali Barat. Barat is known to be a strong mover in the Premier League and a switch by Dumfries, could signal intent for a move. These rumours have also come up before, however nothing has happened yet.

He also won’t be extremely expensive for anyone potential buyers. Dumfries has a release clause in his contract for non Italian teams that is set only at 25 million euros. This is low considering his value on Transfermarkt is 35 million euros, and arguably could be higher.
So if Inter are forced to sell Dumfries they are getting ready for a replacement. Inter have circled two Italian names to replace Dumfries, Marco Palestra and Michael Kayode. Palestra has been shining for Cagliari this season on loan from Atalanta and will have plenty of teams looking to sign him.
This could lead to Inter being forced to pay a price higher for Palestra due to the competition from other sides mainly Juventus. This is why Kayode is a back-up option for Inter if they can’t get Palestra, who signed for Brentford from Fiorentina this summer for 17 million euros.

Juventus and Kenan Yildiz have put contract talks on hold
Kenan Yildiz has been, one of Juventus best players in recent history, emerging in January of 2023 under Max Allegri. He came off the bench for his first few starts, but ever since then he has been. impossible to bench. He has been Juventus’s most important attacking threat ever since.
Now however his future is under some uncertainty. This as he is negotiating with the club for a new contract, but according to Gazzetta Dello Sport the talks aren’t going well. This has led to the club and Yildiz’s entourage deciding to pause talks for now and pick them up later in the season.
The club was close to signing a deal with Yildiz that would keep him in Turin until 2030, but the financial terms weren’t met. This is why the deal broke down, as the two clubs couldn;’t find a compromise. Right now Yildiz earns 1.7 million euros per season and he is looking to up that.
Yildiz is looking to earn 6 million euros per season. This would put him on par with new signing Jonathan David, but would still be less than Dusan Vlahovic at 12 million per season. Juventus could be forced to match this payment reluctantly, as other clubs could be interested in signing Yildiz.
Last summer, Chelsea made a bid of 67 million euros to sign Yildiz which Juventus turned down. However, there are now more teams who could look to bring Yildiz in. Real Madrid have also been interested in Yildiz looking to replace Vinicius Junior who could lead this summer. Bayern Munich are also interested being his former club in youth days.
