Juventus out of the race for a key free agent due to high costs

Luciano Spalletti finally put pen to paper on a contract extension with Juventus until 2028 this week. Juventus will likely be forced to make multiple signings if they truly want to compete next season.

However, now according to Matteo Moretto on youtube, Juventus are out of the race to sign a key free agent. Marcos Senesi will now likely stay in the Premier League instead of making a move to join Juventus according to Moretto. The money the Premier League sides are offering Senesi is simply too much for Juventus to match this summer.

This will be a large blow for Juventus as he was the only free agent centre-back the Bianconeri were linked too. Juventus will now have to look elsewhere if they are hardest on signing a centre back in this summer’s mercato. However, Juventus could instead decide to fill more noticeable needs, to save financial resources instead.
