Juventus agree to contract extension with key player for the future
Juventus have struggled in recent years, often having a lot more low points then high points. However, one of the constant highpoints has been Kenan Yildiz for Juventus. Yildiz has only got better ever since making his debut for Juventus in a 6-1 Coppa Italia win over Salernitana.
However, this has always been doubts over how long Juventus can keep Yildiz. Personally, Yildiz has the motivation to stay, being a Juventus and Alessandro Del Piero fan for most of his life. However, in recent years, Juventus hasn’t been as competitive as big clubs like Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, PSG and others.
A lot of Juventus fans thought it would be hard to keep Yildiz for the future, as Juventus simply can’t compete with the wages these teams offer.TuttoSport reports however, that Juventus fans can all put these worries to bed as Yildiz has signed a new deal Juventus until 2030.
This new deal will likely see big European teams cool off their interest for Yildiz. Juventus will now be able to significantly increase their asking price if they do sell Yildiz in the future. Juventus should keep Yildiz without any struggles until at least 2029, before the start of his last season on this contract deal.
The new deal will see him become the highest paid player in Turin, mainly down to Dusan Vlahovic leaving. (read more here) This will free up most of the salary Juventus will give to Yildiz while they turn the sporting project around. The deal now just needs a signature something that will likely be done after the Lazio match.

Inter Milan set to discuss future with key player this week
Inter Milan’s current team has no real big holes that is missing anymore. Last season they lacked striker depth which costed them in both Serie A and Champions League. However. Inter filled this gap with the return of Pio Esposito from loan, and the signing of Ange-Yoan Bonny from Parma.
This has boosted Inter to first place, as they currently sit five points clear of second place AC Milan. The close climate of Serie A has left Inter still trying to improve despite being first. This saw the Nerazzurri linked to the signing of Curtis Jones in January a deal which ultimately fell through. (read more here)
However, Inter have now shifted their sights on possible summer signings, as they look for a big new name. Inter have had success with goalkeepers in recent history. They earnt a large profit when they sold Andre Onana to Manchester United, and Yann Sommer has been a great signing for the four million euros they paid, so far.

Guglielmo Vicario could be another name to pry Inter back onto the market, as they look to sign a new goalkeeper. (read more here). This means that Yann Sommer’s time in Milan could end, sooner then expected if Inter are set to sign a new goalkeeper, as his contract expires at the end of this season.
Inter will hold a meeting with Yann Sommer in the coming days according to Nico Schira, then his future will be decided. Sommer’s days in Milan could very well be numbered with his contract expiring at the end of this season. Most players his age tend to move to the MLS or Saudi Pro League, but nothing has been rumoured yet.

Inter set to offer Cristian Chivu contract extension
Inter ended last season, on a very low note, losing the Champions League final to PSG. It was not just loss but the style in which it happened with Inter suffering a 5-0 thumping. This led to coach Simone Inzaghi stepping away from the project making a move to join Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia.
This was a move that caught Inter off guard and they were forced to make a rush hire. The process was shortened more due to the upcoming Club World Cup, Inter would be set to play in. This led to Inter hiring former player Cristian Chivu from Parma, despite only having seven games of league experience.
The move was ridcudled at the time by critics and supporters alike. However, everything that was said about Chivu turned out to be wrong as he has Inter thriving on all fronts. They currently sit first in the league, five points ahead of second place AC Milan and are set to play in the Champions League round of 32 next week. (read more here)
This has lead to talks contract extension despite his current deal not expiring until the end of next season. Inter would like to lock him down for another season according to Tutto Sport. This would see Chivu stay in Milan until 2028, and also make it harder for other teams to poach him.
Currently, Chivu earns 2.5 million euros coaching for Inter, but this could go up. A new deal would have to be signed for this to be the case and it will all depends on Inter’s result. If the Nerazzurri win the league and make a deep run in the Champions League his pay could increase with a new deal.

AS Roma aiming to extend the contract of two long term players
AS Roma have been one of the most changing teams in Serie A over the last two or three years. Since the 2023-24 season Roma have had five managers with Jose Mourhino being replaced by interim Daniele De Rossi who took his job. De Rossi was made permeant but his stint at Roma didn’t last for long as Ivan Juric replaced him.
Juric had a terrible stint in the capital being replaced after only 12 games, by Claudio Raineri who would coach Roma until the end of the season. Raineri moved up to the board hiring Gian Piero Gasperini before the start of this season. This has mean’t that there has been plenty of team changes in transfer windows to support this.

Roma coach Gian Piero Gasperini during the Serie A match between Udinese Calcio and AS Roma at Stadio Friuli on February 02, 2026 in Udine, Italy.
However, through this there is two Italian constants for Roma. Bryan Cristante and Gianlcua Mancini have been main stays for the Gillanorossi over the last decade. Mancini has been with Roma since 2019 while Cristante has been there since a year before joining in 2018. However, their time in the capital is on short notice as they both have expiring contracts.
Both players have contracts that expire at the end of next season, but they are set to stay for longer. This comes from a report from Nico Schira which states that both players have a contract ready to extend their time with Roma. Roma has a deal which will keep the two Azzurri team mates with them until then end of 2029.
These contracts could be there last with Roma, bringing them past a decade in the capital. Mancini will also be 32 while Cristante will be 33 meaning that they will likely brining an end to their time at Roma. However, it is not impossible for them to play past as many top players have but if they can is yet too be seen.
