AC Milan and Juventus set to compete for two strikers in the summer
AC Milan and Juventus are two teams that have had disappointing season for there standards. Both teams would have come into this season hoping to at least challenge for the Scudetto. However, gaps in both sides have made it impossible for them to keep up with Inter Milan.
A main gap for both sides has been in attack, as both teams have had poor strikers. For, Milan Santi Gimenez and Niclas Fullkrug have both failed to be conventional number nines. Meanwhile for Juventus both, Lois Openda and Jonathan David have been poor signings. This is why both sides could make an attempt to sign Matteo Retegui in the summer transfer window.

This comes from a report from Gazzetta Dello Sport, which state that he has offered himself to both sides. Retegui is looking for a way out of Saudi Arabia, as the league isn’t competitive for him. His poor form for the Azzurri could come down to this which is why he wants to make a move back home.
However, his wages could also be an issue as he earns 16 million euros per season in Saudi. It is hard to see Milan or Juventus paying half of this fee to Retegui. But if he Retegui really does want a move home he will drop his wages to do so. However, high wages could be a issue for Milan and Juventus again if they go after Robert Lewandowski.

Lewandowski could leave Barcelona as a free agent this summer, as the Catalan club are hesitant to give him a contract extension. According to Nico Schira, Milan and Juventus are both monitoring Lewandoski incase Barcelona don’t give him a new deal. However, neither sides has made any official contacts as of yet.
