Fiorentina have had one of their worst seasons in their history as they have spent most of their campaign in the relegation zone. However, they have slowly clawed themselves from 20th to 17th to try and stay in Serie A. A relegation would be disastrous for a club the size and with the wage bill of Fiorentina, but they are fighting to survive.

This lead to some clubs thinking that some of their key players would be for sale in January, as they look to dump some wages for the possibility of them incase they down. Moise Kean was the main sought after but there was very real rumours surrounding the striker. Al Hilal had serious interest as they look to replace Marcos Leonardo before he joined Atletico Madrid.

There was a less known name in rumours which was Niccolo Fortini. The youngster has emerged for Fiorentina has already seen some big interest from around Serie a. Napoli and Roma have already shown interest but there interest has been rumours at best, with no official offers being made to sign Fortini. However, Fiorentina aren’t waiting for someone to do so.

This comes as Fiorentina want to secure his future with the Viola, so they are set to offer a contract extension to Fortini. This comes from Nico Schira which states that Fiorentina has offered Fortini a deal until the end of the 2029/30 season. This is as Fiorentina are trying to entice Fortini with Fiorentina despite oncoming interest.

His new offer will likely come with a pay rise to reward him for his improvements this season. A higher wage will also stop other teams as there offers will be less enticing to the young Italian. The deal also comes with added job security for the young Italian, which will see his future secure in case he is unlucky enough to have a long term injury, something more common in football now a days.
