Zeki Celik set to leave Roma for elsewhere in Serie A this summer

AS Roma looked to complete a turn around this summer, with the appointment of Gian Piero Gasperini. This came as they suffered the season before, until Claudio Ranieri came in. Ranieri came out of left field to coach, Roma until the end of the season, before moving up to the board for this season.

The Gilarossi did manage to undergo a turn around with Raineri. However, it was left a little too late, as they finished 5th, a point shy of the Champions League. Roma wanted to fix that this season, with Gasperini and got to work. Gasperini tightened Roma’s defence, but they still struggled to score goals.

This could be blamed on the lack of action in the summer, but they rectified this is January. Roma signed Donyell Malen, Robinio Vaz and Bryan Zaragoza to fix the issue. However, Roma did get one signing right in the summer which was Wesley Franca, from Flamengo.

Wesley came in after a stellar club world cup, and hasn’t missed a beat since. His top from has gone unnoticed with Manchester City being interested in signing Wesley. But, Wesley might not be the only fullback who could depart from the capital this summer, with Zeki Celik out of contract.

Celik has been a key player for Roma this season, often being on the other channel of Wesley. His current deal expires at the end of this season, and talks haven’t gone well with Roma well so far. This has lead from reports from CalcioMercato which state that he could leave for another Serie A team.

Juventus, have shown interest in Celik, ever since January. The Bianconeri want to turn their team around, and with finical troubles, they will rely on free agents. This has lead them to Marcos Senesi and Antonio Rudiger, for the summer and Celik could be the next name on the list.

Juventus have managed to agree terms to bring Celik, in next summer. Juventus have offered Celik a large salary of 3-4 million, to convince him to move to Turin. This is enough to reach an agreement with, Celik but the full terms aren’t known as of yet. Roma, will not try and match that monster of a salary for Celik.

Udinese currently sit 11th in Serie A, as they have been an average team this season. However, they have had some bright spots, Nicolo Zaniolo has been strong for Udinese as he looks to turn his career around. Oumar Solet has also been another big name for Udinese this season.

Solet ability hasn’t gone unnoticed for Udinese this season as now there are multiple big teams watching him. This is according to CalcioMeractoIT, who state that multiple teams interested. Firstly, AC Milan are interested in signing Solet as they are looking for a centre back.

Milan tried to sign a centre back in the summer, with Federico Gatti being a key target for them. But, this deal fell through as Juventus didn’t want to sell Gatti. However, this summer could be different as he is no longer wanted by Spalletti. But, Milan are no longer watching him with Lyon leading the race to sign Gatti.

Juventus could also make a move to try and sign Solet, but they do also have other names on their list. Marcos Senesi and Antonio Rudiger are two names that Juventus are also trying to sign. Solet could be another option but, he would cost more then Senesi or Rudiger as he isn’t a free agent.

However, Udinese is only asking for 20 million euros to sign Solet, something which is payable for both AC Milan and Juventus. But, neither are leading to race to sign Solet with Inter Milan in pole to complete the deal. AS Roma could also make a move, but no club has made an offical offer yet.

Luciano Spalletti will likely be the man to lead Juventus into their next phase. This is leading to Juventus to trying and build a team around Spalletti. This is why Juventus are aiming to sign Marco Carnesecchi from Atalanta, and selling Federico Gatti to make way for Marcos Senesi.

However, Senesi might not be the only centre back for Juventus to sign for Spalletti in the summer. This is according to CalcioMercatoIT, as they could make a huge move. This would be to sign Antonio Rudiger, from Real Madrid to boost Juventus defence.

Rudiger could be a way for Juventus to boost an already struggling defence. This month, Juventus have already conceded 15 goals this month, as their defence has struggled this season. Spalletti has been, changing from a back three to a back four and still neither has worked.

This means that Juventus will likely have to sign other players to complete the defence. Rudgier could be a great option for Juventus as he already has some experience with Spalletti. They worked together for three years while the two where also at AS Roma.

It is also a good move for Juventus, as he will be a free agent. It is announced to Rudiger will leave Real Madrid this summer, which would allow Juventus to make a move. This is especially good for Juventus who are already struggling finically to make signings.

Juventus make offer to free agent, as Federico Gatti could leave

Federico Gatti, has rarely featured for Juventus in this new “Luciano Spalletti Era”. He has only made seven appearances since Spalletti joined, coming off the bench for all of them. It is now looking likely that Gatti will depart Turin at the end of this season. This has lead to links of him joining Atalanta in a swap deal for Marco Carnesecchi.

However, the deal could fall through as Atalanta are entirely keen on Gatti either. This could lead to him being sold in the summer instead. AC Milan held interest in January, however according to Nico Schira and TuttoSport their is a new favourite for the deal. Lyon could make a bid to sign Gatti, in the summer.

But of course they will have competition to sign Gatti in the summer. English sides West Ham and Leeds United are both also fans of Federico Gatti, and could look to distribute the deal. Juventus are only asking for 20 million euros to sell Gatti, something all three teams can pay.

Gatti leaving Turin would allow Juventus to clear up space in defence. This would be perfect as Juventus are hoping to sign Marco Senesi as a free agent in the summer. Senesi would come in to help round out a defence that could be built by Luciano Spalletti, but it won’t be easy for Juventus.

Juventus are set to finally make a formal offer to Senesi after months of talks. Senesi will be offered a four year deal, worth 3 million euros per season if he accepts it. However, there is no guarantee for Juventus to sign him as they face competition from Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, and multiple Premier League clubs including Manchester United.
