Inter Milan have been the top team in Serie A this season. This has lead to them sitting seven points clear at the top, despite the competitiveness of this season. While a strong defence has been vital for this, the main boost from last season is their ability to score goals.

This comes as Marcus Thuram has taken a step back from scoring goals, has he has been linked to a big European move. Of course Lautaro Martinez has taken a step forward so far this season. But Inter’s main improvement has come from the bench with Ange Yoan Bonny and Pio Esposito.

While Ange Yoan Bonny, has been a good signing for Inter the main step up has been from Pio Esposito. Pio rejoined Inter from his loan at Spezia last season, and has stepped up hugely. So far this season Pio has eight goals and five assists this season, which hasn’t gone unnoticed.

This has lead to Arsenal trying to make a move to sign Pio Esposito in the summer. However, according to CalcioMercatoIT, Inter don’t plan on letting it happen anytime soon. Inter could offer a new deal to Esposito to try and keep him in Milan for his long-term future.

Inter will give Esposito a deal until 2031, to try and convince him to stay in Milan. However, this won’t be the only incentive as Esposito will also receive a pay rise. Currently, Esposito earns 1.1 million euros this season which will be increased to 3 million per season in the new deal.

iccardo Orsolini has been one of the hottest wingers in Serie A as he has shined for Bologna. His improved form started when Thiago Motta guided the side to Champions League football. He has kept up his top form ever since, being a main stay for the Rossoblu and the Azzurri.

Bologna have also improved in a club, becoming more of a selling team like Atalanta. Ever since they qualified for the Champions League under Motta they have sold big names like Joshua Zirkzee, Riccardo Calafiori, Sam Buekema and Dan Ndoye. Still Orsolini has been the best player out of all of them and still haven’t left.

This isn’t despite interest from other clubs as Napoli will try to make a move to sign Orsolini in the summer. However, Orsolini is becoming the next Domingo Berardi choosing to stay with the “lower club” rather than move up. A fitting comparison since they have similar sorts of play styles as versatile right wingers.

If Orsolini wants to stay in Bologna, the Rossoblu would like to keep him. At least for the near future which is why they are set to offer him a new contract according to CalcioMercatoIT. This comes as his current deal expires at the end of next season, so Bologna could be forced into a sale this summer.

Orsolini new deal, would add two years taking his contract with Bologna until 2029. Orsolini’s base salary would improve however he would earn 2 million euros more per season. This would mainly be down to bonuses, in his deal, which Bologna can offer him mainly due to the sales of other stars.

AC Milan have been an up and down team, over the last few season but some things have been constant. Christian Pulisic has been one of them, as it seems no matter the circumstances he can score. This has slowly led to him becoming one of Milan and Serie As best players.

With all of this talent it is hard for Pulisic to go unnoticed by foreign clubs, and according to TuttoMercatoWeb some have. Liverpool and Arsenal are both keeping track of Pulisic incase he doesn’t sign a contract extension with Milan. Arsenal and Liverpool have both been known to struggle for goals.

Firstly, Arsenal despite being first in the Premier League is one of the worst goalscoring sides. Most of Arsenal goals has come from set pieces as winger, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli have struggled. For Liverpool meanwhile, they will likely lose Mohamed Salah after this season and will need a replacement in the summer.

However, reports from Matteo Moretto via Youtube state that Milan have very little to worry about losing Pulisic. Firstly in his current contract AC Milan hold the rights to a one-year option. This means that his current deal will run until the end of the 2027-2028 season.

AC Milan are still confident for a new deal for Pulisic, as talks have started in the past. However, currently they are on hold as AC Milan decided to complete other deals first. There is only one key problem for AC Milan, and that is if with a new deal they will lose the tax empetion to the Decreto Crescita, as he is a foreign player which will increase the price of a renewal for Milan.

Inter Milan have had a strong midfield for most of this decade, at the centre of this is Nicolo Barella. He joined Inter in 2019, and ever since then has worked his way up with the Nerazzurri. Now at 29-years-old, he is the key piece in Inter’s and one of the best in the world.

However, he hasn’t had a lousy supporting cast around him either, leading Inter to be one of Europe’s best team. Hakan Calhanoglu has been part of Inter’s main makeup ever since joining from rivals AC Milan. Hakan joined in controversial fashion leaving Milan to join Inter on a free transfer in 2021.

Hakan could finally be out of his of Milan, as a move to Turkey could be on the cards. Lautaro Martinez and Hakan fell out, during the Club World Cup, which led to rumours of a move to Galatasaray for Calhanoglu. These reports are back again according to Tuttosport via FCInterNewsIT.

A move back to Turkey could be on the cards espically with an expiring contract. Calhanoglu’s current deal expires at the end of next season, so this summer would be the last chance to cash in on him. However, we still don’t know what Inter will do with Hakan’s contract.

However, Calhanoglu isn’t the only midfielder, Inter could lose as Henrikh Mkhitaryan contract is nearly ending. Mkhitaryan current deal expires at the end of this season, and there isn’t a decision for a renewal on Inter according to Corriere dello Sport. If Mkhitaryan doesn’t stay with Inter he could retire as a move to Saudi Arabia or America doesn’t interest the Armenian.
