Juventus made seven signings at the beginning of last season as Thiago Motta, came in. Some failed like Douglas Luiz and Teun Koopmeiners, who have struggled in Turin. However, some have done well like Khepren Thuram and Pierre Kalulu in Turin, over the last 18 months.

Michele Di Gregorio however, has been a mixed bag for Juventus over the course of the last 18 months. He began his first season electrically with a solid defensive unit. Then, Bremer tore his acl in the Champions League against RB Leipzig, and then the defence dropped.

However, it seemed that Di Gregorio stepped up after this happened and had a blinder of a season. This led to him having 14 clean sheets over 32 league games last season. Bremer, returned this season, and it seems that Di Gregorio has dropped off. It could be down to the fact that he feels he has added security with Bremer in defence.

This could make him more relaxed in goal, which leads to easy mistakes. Whatever, it is his current form hasn’t been good enough for Juventus’s board. This has lead to rumours of him being replaced in the summer, with talks of Marco Carnesecchi or Guglielmo Vicario joining the club.

However, CalcioMercatoIT are reporting that a new name has become available, for the summer. This would be Alex Meret from Napoli who could leave the club this summer. This comes as Meret current contract expires at the end of next season, and their is no indication he will sign a new deal.

If Napoli are forced to sell Meret this summer to save him from leaving on a free, the deal could be cheap. Napoli could accpet a bid for as low as 10 million euros for Meret, something below market value. However, the one deal breaker for Juventus is that Meret hasn’t seen regular gametime since Milinkovic-Savic joined Napoli.

Pervis Estupinan has struggled in his first six months in Milan, as he is in a spell of poor form. Thankfully for Milan, they found a diamond in the rough, from their under 20s. Davide Bartesaghi has come in for Milan and hasn’t missed a beat for Allgeri becoming a constient starter, and could earn a pay rise.

However, if Milan want to compete for the Scudetto next season, with the European games they will need an additional name. Especially if Estupinan days in Milan are numbered. However, CalcioMercatoIT are reporting via MilanLiveIT, that the Rossoneri have found that name.

This would be Matteo Ruggeri who joined Atletico Madrid this summer. Ruggeri has slowly become a starter for Diego Simeone in Madrid, however a move is still possible. AC Milan could complete the deal in the summer in the range of 20 million euros, but will try and offer Pervis Estupinan in a swap to complete a deal.

Liverpool have been one of Europes strongest teams over the last two seasons. This has collided with the hiring of new manager Arne Slot which came after Jurgen Klopp left the club. Slot’s first window was a big one, as the team didn’t make any huge improvements under Klopp.

This lead to multiple huge signings especially in the attack, but the one that has probably gone unnoticed is Federico Chiesa. This isn’t because Chiesa hasn’t been good, but the overall quality of this Liverpool side. However, some people do think that Chiesa does need more minutes under slot.

The Liverpool board is now stuck in a hard place as Chiesa earns 7.5 million euros per season, which is large for a bench player. According to CalcioMercato Liverpool have decided to sell him in the summer, and they have set a price. Liverpool are asking only 20 million euros to sell Chiesa in the summer.

This could see a move back to Serie A become possible, as Juventus his former club wanted to make a move in January. They did sign Jeremie Boga, but he is seen as more of a stop gap option until the summer. 20 million to sign Chiesa is achievable for Juventus but Chiesa would need a pay cut to complete the move.

Napoli or Roma were linked to signing Chiesa in January but no new deal has been made. This is likely because they both completed permanent deals, with Alisson Santos and Giovane Nascimento join Napoli. Meanwhile, Roma signed Robinio Vaz, Donyell Malen and Bryan Zaragoza which makes Chiesa unnecessary.

Inter Milan have been a goalscoring machine, scoring 60 goals so far this season. This beats the second closest team Juventus by a whole 17 goals. This has been the main key to Inter’s success as their is multiple teams with strong or stronger defences then the Nerazzurri.

Most of Inter’s goalscoring fire has come from Lautaro Martinez, as the Argentine has scored 20 goals across all competitions this season. If Inter keep up their goalscoring, Lautaro could have a career best year with Milan being only eight goals away from topping his previous best.

The hiring of Cristian Chivu as Inter’s new manager has opened up how they plan. This has definitely helped Lautaro goal scoring however, it isn’t the key factor. Inter also have new found depth at the striking position to relieve Lautaro. Last season Inter had to rely heavily on Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram, which led to them being burnt out at the end of the season.

Pio Esposito came back from loan in the summer as Inter also signed Ange Yoan Bonny. The pair have been great in the attack for Inter scoring 7 goals each. This added depth off the bench is what has lead to Inter and Lautaros success. However, this may have backfired as they could lose a key striker.

This is according to reports from freelance journalist Steve Kay. He is reporting that Arsenal have been scouting Pio Esposito, ever since they faced Inter in the Champions League. They have gone as far as to send a scout to watch Esposito when Inter hosted Juventus last weekend.

However, other reports suggest that Inter have no intention of letting Pio Esposito leave this summer. Instead they are aiming to offer him a contract extension, until 2031 in the coming months. Inter will do this in the hopes to deter other clubs from trying to sign Pio.
