AC Milan where extremely busy in this summers transfer market, as they looked to revolutionize the team. This came as a change of coach saw Massimiliano Allegri take the job in Milanello. However, he didn’t have an easy job on his hands, as AC Milan lost Theo Hernandez and Tijiani Reijnders.

AC Milan sold the duo to Al Hilal and Manchester City respectively. The Rossoneri believed that they managed to replace the pair of them in the transfer market. Pervis Estupinan was meant to replace Theo Hernandez, however his poor performances have seen him benched for youngster Davide Bartesaghi.

Milan might have missed with the signing of Estupinan being one of their worst in the summer. They hit the nail on the head with the replacement of Tijani Reijnders. Milan managed to sign Luka Modric as a free agent, as he left Real Madrid. Modric, has been one of Milan’s most influential players.

Modric’s influence lead to him being the man of the match, and match winner against Pisa on Friday. (read the match report here). Despite being 40-years-old Modric has been able to put on amazing 90 minute displays for Milan nearly every single week.

This is made easier by the fact that AC Milan aren’t in any competitions other than Serie A. His performances have been so good that CalcioMercatoIT are reporting that AC Milan want to offer him a contract extension. This would only be for another year, and would cost Milan 4.5 million to keep Modric, if he accepts their current offer.

Inter Milan have been a goalscoring machine, scoring 60 goals so far this season. This beats the second closest team Juventus by a whole 17 goals. This has been the main key to Inter’s success as their is multiple teams with strong or stronger defences then the Nerazzurri.

Most of Inter’s goalscoring fire has come from Lautaro Martinez, as the Argentine has scored 20 goals across all competitions this season. If Inter keep up their goalscoring, Lautaro could have a career best year with Milan being only eight goals away from topping his previous best.

The hiring of Cristian Chivu as Inter’s new manager has opened up how they plan. This has definitely helped Lautaro goal scoring however, it isn’t the key factor. Inter also have new found depth at the striking position to relieve Lautaro. Last season Inter had to rely heavily on Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram, which led to them being burnt out at the end of the season.

Pio Esposito came back from loan in the summer as Inter also signed Ange Yoan Bonny. The pair have been great in the attack for Inter scoring 7 goals each. This added depth off the bench is what has lead to Inter and Lautaros success. However, this may have backfired as they could lose a key striker.

This is according to reports from freelance journalist Steve Kay. He is reporting that Arsenal have been scouting Pio Esposito, ever since they faced Inter in the Champions League. They have gone as far as to send a scout to watch Esposito when Inter hosted Juventus last weekend.

However, other reports suggest that Inter have no intention of letting Pio Esposito leave this summer. Instead they are aiming to offer him a contract extension, until 2031 in the coming months. Inter will do this in the hopes to deter other clubs from trying to sign Pio.

Rafael Leao has seven goals, while summer signing Christopher Nkunku has five in the league. But, Milan’s highest scorer has still be Christian Pulisic with eight. This has been despite having some injury setbacks over the season, missing multiple games during the campaign.

Pulisic career has been on a uptick ever since he joined the Rossoneri from Chelsea. Pulisic spent four seasons in London with Chelsea and only managed to score 26 goals. Pulisic has already scored 43 goals with AC Milan and hasn’t even completed his third season.

Pulisic has also had double digits assists in each of his last two seasons with Milan. This was a feat he never managed to accomplish anywhere else, Chelsea or Dortmund. His improved form has lead to multiple key teams aiming to sign Pulisic in the summer.

This comes from a report from Caughtoffisde, which states that Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham are all interested in the American. United and Tottenham, both see Pulisic as the dynamic wide option they have been missing this season. Meanwhile Arsenal value his goalscoring, as they have struggled to score from open play this season.

AC Milan have set their price for Pulisic, as the want 70-80 million euros in the summer. Milan could sell Pulisic as his contract expires after next season, despite it having an option for an additional year. If Milan cash in on Pulisic now before his value dips, they can use the rest to fund other signings in the summer.
