All of Serie A tops teams are slowing looking to improve their teams in January as they all look to compete for the title. All of the top teams have different needs, but two main teams currently need attackers. Napoli are looking to get rid of Lorenzo Lucca as he has struggled to start well in Naples.

The same goes for Roma, as both Artem Dovybk and Evan Ferguson has looked poor this season. Ever since Gian Piero Gasperini has come into the club and changed the attack. Leon Bailey has also been terrible signing on loan for Roma this season as he is struggling to play due to injury.

This has left both the clubs fighting for new signings to bring to Serie A. The first one would be Giacomo Raspadori, who was sold by Napoli at the start of this season. However, he could already be on his way back to Serie A as Roma are trying to bring him in on a loan to buy deal.

However, Napoli are also trying to bring Giacomo back to the club only six months later. Nico Schira is reporting that Raspadori has said yes to joining either of the club, but he has preference. Raspadori would rather return to Napoli then join Roma as he is already similar to the side.

The two clubs are also fighting over another attacker as they look to the Premier League trying to bring in Donyell Malen from Aston Villa. Nico Schira reports that both of the sides are interested into Malen, however Roma are still in the lead. They have opened talks with Aston Villa already to try and sign Malen while Napoli still haven’t opened contacts with the English side.

Leon Goretzka has spent the last seven years at Bayern Munich, and now him and the club have agreed it is time to part ways. This will see Goretzka leave Bayern as a free agent this summer, which has enticed Serie A sides. Due, to government and cultural reasons Serie A sides see less in TV and Matchday revenue than other big European leagues.

This has seen Serie A teams rely on free agents in the past, Inter have been the most common with Marcus Thuram and many others shining for them. However, they are not the onlys as Napoli and AC Milan caught up on the action with Kevin De Bryune and Luka Modric last summer.

Goretzka could be another one of these big names as he could team up with Luka Modric next season according to Corriere Dello Sport. This comes as Milan have offered Goretzka a three year deal worth 5 million euros per season to see him come to Milan. Massimiliano Allegri was the name who suggested the move, as he wants Goretzka in a midfield with Rabiot and Modric.

However, the move still hangs in the balance as European football is a key factor. Firstly, Goretzka wants to play at the highest level next season so Champions League is a must. It will also be a key finical factor for AC Milan to be able to afford Goretzka wages and complete other signings.

Champions League is no certainty for AC Milan as of now as they only sit in third place. They have five points on fifth place Como but they have recently had a dip in form which has worried some fans, as they could lose a top four finish. If this where to happen, Inter Milan, Napoli and Juventus would all be ready to scoop up Goretzka as a free agent instead of Milan.

Dusan Vlahovic looked almost certain to leave Juventus at the start of this season, as contract renewal looked hopeless. Juventus simply couldn’t meet his wage demands so instead they signed replacements. Jonathan David and Lois Openda where bought in who were seen as new starting strikers.

But, both have struggled to hit the ground running for Juventus this campaign struggling to provide goals. Jonathan David will likely stay in Turin as he has been the main starter for Luciano Spalletti. Openda however, will likely leave Turin which could have the Bianconeri back to square one in there replacement search.

Expect for the fact that they may not have to replace Vlahovic at all as he could stay in Turin. This came as Vlahovic suffered an abductor injury for Juventus in November of last season, which saw him miss 21 games. Europe’s big clubs like AC Milan, bayern and Chelsea who did want to sign Vlahovic all lost interest while he wasn’t playing due to injury.

Corriere Dello Sport is now reporting that Juventus will have a fresh set of talks with Vlahovic is they aim to keep him in Turin. However, the deal is not as straightforward as it soons as they two parties still have disagreements. Mainly over salary as Dusan wants 12 million euros per season to stay.

Juventus are hoping to pay Vlahovic closer to a six million euro per season sum. This would put him on par with both Jonathan David and Kenan Yildiz despite him being a favourite of Luciano Spalletti’s. Vlahovic will have to decide soon if he is willing to stay with Juventus a figure nearly half of his asking price or make a move elsewhere, before it is too late.
