Mile Svilar could be up for sale with a replacement ready
AS Roma have had the strongest defence this season in Serie A conceding only 16 goals in 26 games. This has been the biggest of changes that Gian Piero Gasperini has implemented in Rome. This has come why the attack has struggled this season, something unusual of a Gasperini team. Roma now sit fourth in the table despite having the best defence.
The Giallorossi didn’t make any large personal changes in defence, but have organised better. Roma will likely improve next summer with Gasperini asking the board to get rid of Evan Ndicka according to reports. If Ndicka leaves, Roma will need to upgrade in the position, however they still need the capital to do so.

Qualification to the Champions League this season would be a major boost for Roma, in that sense. But that qualification is not guaranteed yet with Juventus sitting only four points behind in fifth place. This comes as the two sides face off in Serie A’s premier Sunday night fixture this weekend. If Roma miss out on Champions League qualification they will be forced to make a sale in the summer.
Mile Svilar would likely be the name to leave as he has already received interest from Inter Milan. But, CalcioMercatoIT are now reporting that Paris Saint-Germain could also make a move to sign Svilar in the summer. PSG will likely be on the market for a goalkeeper Svilar is a realistic top quality name. A deal to sign Svilar could be done for around 60-65 million euros which Roma value him at.
If Roma do sell Svilar, they will need a replacement for next season. Currently, the leading name is Elia Caprile from Cagliari, a deal which could be completed for around 25 million euros. Caprile has been a standout so far in Serie A season which has seen him have six cleansheets in the league this season, and be linked to an Italian national team call up.

Inter set to have competition from Serie A to sign Guglielmo Vicario
Guglielmo Vicario has consistently been Italy’s number two, behind Gianluigi Donnarumma. He has been one of many Italian internationals to play outside ot Italy, like Donnarumma. Donnarumma left AC Milan on a free transfer to play in France and now England.
Vicario however, never got his top chance at a top club like AC Milan. Tottenham decided to snap the Italian up from Empoli before he could move up the Italian table. This wasn’t due to lack of interest as Inter Milan aimed to sign Vicario back then. However, Tottenham beat them to complete a deal.

Inter look to right their previous wrongs this summer, as Yann Sommer could leave Milan. The Nerazzurri are now on the market for a replacement with Vicario being the leading name. Now according to CalcioMercatoIT, Inter are in constant contact with his agents, as they look to close a deal with Tottenham.
Vicario is valued at 25 million euros for any team to sign him. This is an easy fee for Inter Milan to meet, however they will have competition. This is according to La Stampa via RomaPress, as Roma could sign Vicaro to replace Mile Svilar. Svilar isn’t on the market by Roma, but if an offer comes in for 60-65 million euros they will accept.
Roma don’t want to be on the back foot if this happens, which is why they have begun their planning. No offical contacts have been made with Tottenham yet but they are evaluating Vicario. Another name to watch is Kostantinos Tzolakis from Olympiacos who Roma could sign if they can’t get Vicario.

Roma could look to Atalanta to replace Zeki Celik
AS Roma will likely be the team that suffers the most with expiring deals. They have Paulo Dybala, Lorenzo Pellegrini, Bryan Cristante, Gianluca Mancini and Zeki Celik all have contracts which will end this or next season. It currently looks unlikely that Roma will keep all of these players into next season, especially if they decide to go into a small overhaul.
Roma have already managed to agree a deal with Mancini until 2029, seeing the defender stay with Roma. Bryan Cristante still has an uncertain future, with him scoring against Cremonese on the weekend in his 350th game, with no talk on his future yet. Roma keeping Dybala, seems like a long shot now however it is hard to see him sign anywhere else. Zeki Celik is almost guaranteed to leave after this season as Roma are unable to meet the Turks wage demands.
Zeki Celik has attracted interest from multiple top clubs such as Juventus and Liverpool. Both are offering Zeki Celik a deal worth 3.5-4 million euros per season which Roma will not match. This is leading Roma to the market to look for his replacement and Il Giornale, via RomaPress are reporting that Roma have a replacement in mind.
Lorenzo Bernasconi could be the name that Roma try to sign in the summer, to replace Celik. Reports are claiming that Gasperini is desperate to sign the young winger.
